Winter Break
December 21, 2026

Classes and sessions resume Monday, January 4.

Classes and sessions resume Monday, April 5. New this year.

Includes the Fourth of July. Classes and sessions resume Monday, July 12.
Holidays we observe
We are closed on federal holidays. Those falling inside a break are already covered above.
If a holiday falls on your day
Holidays land on different weekdays, so this affects families differently depending on when your student meets.
Group classes
Your group does not meet that day, and there is no separate make-up class. Your instructor plans for it — the lesson is adjusted so your module still finishes on its scheduled date and your student stays with the group.
1-1 sessions
Whether to meet on a federal holiday is up to you and your tutor. Your tutor will reach out beforehand — if you’d both like to keep the session, it goes ahead as usual. If either of you would rather not, they’ll reschedule it, and that doesn’t count toward your one-in-four reschedule allowance.
Algebra Access Group Program Dates
Every Algebra Access group runs six modules over about six months, and meets twice a week — Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Find your student’s start week, then the row for their days. You’ll receive results within a week of each module closing.

All dates are actual class days for that track. A program that starts in spring finishes in the fall.
Questions we hear a lot
A federal holiday falls on my child’s group class day. Is there a make-up class?
For group classes, no — but nothing is lost. Your instructor plans for it and adjusts that week’s lesson, so the module still finishes on its scheduled date and your student stays with their group.
A federal holiday falls on my child’s 1-1 session day. What happens?
It’s up to you and your tutor. Your tutor will reach out before the holiday to ask. If you’d both like to keep the session, you can. If either of you would rather not, they’ll find another time — and a holiday reschedule doesn’t count toward your one-in-four allowance.
Can I reschedule a 1-1 session for reasons other than a holiday?
Yes — you can reschedule one session in every four. Holiday reschedules are separate and don’t count against that.
Why is there a spring break this year? Will there be one every year?
We added it so that breaks fall between modules instead of interrupting one partway through. It’s a one-time change for 2026–27 and won’t repeat in 2027–28.
My friend’s group meets Tuesday/Thursday and misses fewer classes than ours. Why?
Most federal holidays land on Mondays, so Monday/Wednesday groups do lose a few more class days across the year. Instructors know this from the first day of the program and plan the pacing around it — the same content is covered either way.
My child has school on Columbus Day. Why are you closed?
We observe all federal holidays so our tutors and staff have a consistent, predictable schedule. Every one is published a year ahead so you can plan around them.
When will my child’s program finish, and when do we get results?
Every program runs six modules over about six months. Your exact end date is on this calendar under your start week — find the row matching your class days. Results follow within a week of each module closing.
Why is the group starting the week of May 31, 2027 Tuesday/Thursday only?
That week includes Memorial Day, so a Monday/Wednesday group would lose its very first class. Rather than open a new group on a short week, we’re running Tuesday/Thursday sections only for that session.
